Grand Strand Physicians - April 22, 2021

The Tennessee Nursing Association has partnered with the Tennessee Action Coalition and the Tennessee Hospital Association to sponsor the 40 Under 40 Recognition Program. Five nurses from the HCA Healthcare TriStar Division were selected in the 2021 class: Lynn Cumming, Lori Feltner, Carra Linde, Bri O’Neill and Bethany Worley. These fine colleagues represent a great example of dedication to the nursing profession and personal development.

The program acknowledges forty emerging nurse leaders. The aim is to engage and empower young nurses to lead the nursing profession and improve the health of Tennesseans. As part of the program, the nurses selected will engage in a monthly learning collaborative to continue developing advanced nurse leadership skills.

Please meet our five TriStar nurses:

Lynn Cumming:

Lynn is a dedicated nursing leader with 14 years of nursing experience. She joined TriStar Centennial five years ago functioning in many roles including bedside nurse, Pediatric educator, and currently provides leadership over three Pediatric departments: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Emergency Department, and Pediatric Sedition Services. Lynn demonstrates a passion for the care of patients. She is quality focused and eager to role model best practices.

Lori Feltner:

Lori leverages insights gained from nearly 20 years of healthcare experience – 12 of which have been with HCA Healthcare – in her role as associate chief nursing officer at Parkridge Health System. Her heart for new graduate and student nurses is unparalleled, and many will attest to Lori’s generosity with her time, which she graciously devotes to nurture and ensure their growth and development.

Carra Linde:

Carra graduated Tennessee Tech University in 2014 and immediately began her career in TriStar Centennial’s Emergency Department. Carra transferred to the Women’s and Children’s PACU in 2016 and has served as an asset in that department ever since. Carra previously served as co-chair for the PACU council and was a dedicated member on the perioperative council. At the start of COVID, Carra frequently served in the ancillary departments. Carra is dedicated to her patients and is an integral part of the team.

Faybria (Bri) O’Neill:

Bri became a Registered Nurse in 2009 graduating with a BSN from Valdosta College. She attained her MSN from Georgia College and State University. She joined TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in 2017 as the Director of Medical Surgical Services. She was quickly recognized as a caring and dynamic leader whose decisions are patient-centered, improvement focused, and who then executes on those actions . Since 2017 her scope of responsibility has expanded to include all MS services as well as Intensive Care.  She supports her nurses as a role model, mentor and advocate.

Bethany Worley:

Bethany first joined HCA in 2009, and most recently came to TriStar Summit in 2020. She is nurse leader for two departmental floors which has seen sustained unprecedented capacity and high acuity of care since the beginning of the pandemic. Bethany leads her team of over 100 nurses and nurse assists to insure exceptional quality and care is given to each patient.  She is dedicated to detail and commitment to involving the patients and their care givers into the care plan continues to gleam exceptional feedback during nurse leader rounds.
